  • Winemaker: Yvonne Lester The Rupert & Rothschild partnership was formed in 1997 by the late Dr Anton Rupert of South Africa and the late Baron Edmond de Rothschild of France.

    Their vision and guiding principles were carried forward by their sons, the late Anthonij Rupert and Baron Benjamin de Rothschild.

    Today the Rupert family and Baron Benjamin de Rothschild share this prestigious partnership in wine production.

    Classique

    Tasting Notes:

    Inviting Cranberry And Raspberry Aromas With An Earthy, Mineral Focus And A Lingering Cinnamon And Walnut Finish.

    Decanting Recommended.

    Ageing Potential: The Wine Has An Ageing Potential Of At Least 6 Years From Vintage. Food Suggestions:

    Serve With Confit Duck, Cassis Jus And Spiced Braised Red Cabbage.

    Blend Information: 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot.

    Baroness Nadine

    Tasting notes:

    Crisp lemon notes with subtle grapefruit nuances and smooth creamy nougat flavours, followed by lingering macadamia nut undertones.

    Ageing potential:

    The wine has an ageing potential of 5 years from vintage.

    Food suggestions:

    Recommended with Norwegian Salmon, Tonka Bean Velouté and Almond Gremolata.

    Blend information: 100% Chardonnay

    Baron Edmond

    Tasting notes:

    Focused and elegant with deliciously pure black cherry, strawberry and dark chocolate notes and lingering roasted coffee bean flavours.

    Ageing potential: This wine has an ageing potential of at least 10 years from vintage.

    Food suggestions:

    Serve with Roasted Dry Aged Beef Sirloin, Confit Garlic and Smoked Eggplant.

    Blend information:

    70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc.
